Day 11: 17 December 2024
I was put on exam duty in Hall 8 for the afternoon session. Invigilating during afternoon hours was quite challenging, as it became monotonous and made me feel sleepy. However, I stayed alert to ensure that students followed the rules.
Day 12: 18 December 2024
Today, I was not assigned any exam duty, so I took the opportunity to plan my upcoming lessons. I organized my notes, prepared teaching aids, and brainstormed ways to make my classes more engaging and interactive for the students.
Day 13: 19 December 2024
I was given exam duty in the forenoon session. My responsibility included collecting question papers and distributing answer sheets. I observed that some students were nervous, so I gave them a few words of encouragement before the exam started.
Day 14: 20 December 2024
This was the last working day before the winter break and also the last day of exams. The school had a relaxed atmosphere as students finished their tests. I assisted in organizing exam materials and helped ensure everything was in order before the vacation.
Day 15: 30 December 2024
After the winter break, classes resumed today. In Class 8A (1st period Physics), I continued Reflection of Light in Spherical Mirrors. In Class 8C (5th period Chemistry), we revisited the Water chapter, discussing its states and physical properties.
Day 16: 31 December 2024
In Class 8C (2nd period Chemistry), I covered the topic Surface Tension of Water, explaining how it works with real-life examples. In Class 8A (3rd period Physics), I continued Reflection of Light in Spherical Mirrors, focusing on Focus and Focal Length.
Day 17: 01 January 2025 – Happy New Year!
Welcomed the students to the New Year with good wishes and motivation for a fresh start. In Class 8A (4th and 5th periods Chemistry), I discussed Components of Water and Reactions of Metals with Water, giving practical demonstrations to enhance their understanding.
Day 18: 03 January 2025
In Class 8C (1st period Chemistry), I introduced the concept of Hard Water and Soft Water, explaining their differences and implications in daily life. Students were curious and asked many questions, making the session interactive.
Day 19: 06 January 2025
I had back-to-back Physics periods (3rd and 4th) in Class 8A, where I taught Focal Planes, Image Formation, and Ray Diagrams for Spherical Mirrors. The students practiced drawing ray diagrams, which helped in better conceptual clarity.
Day 20: 07 January 2025
In Class 8C (1st period Chemistry), we discussed Water Gases and Water Pollution, emphasizing environmental conservation. In Class 8A (5th period Physics), I introduced the topic Sound – Its Sources and Propagation with audio-visual aids to enhance understanding.
