MY TEACHING JOURNEY PART:-5

 

New school:- Sree Vijayeshwari High School

Day 1: 03 December 2024

The day started with much anticipation, as I was excited to begin my teaching experience at Sree Vijayeshwari High School. However, due to heavy rainfall in the district, the district collector declared a holiday. Though disappointed, I took this as an opportunity to revise my lesson plans and prepare for the coming days.

Day 2: 04 December 2024

Today, I had my first teaching periods. I handled Physics for Class 8A and Chemistry for Class 8C. I introduced the students to the topics and observed their level of understanding. It was a good start, and I tried to keep the class interactive to make them comfortable with my teaching style.

Day 3: 05 December 2024

I took Physics for Class 8A and introduced the topic Reflection of Light in Spherical Mirrors. In Class 8C, during the 4th period, I introduced Chemistry and provided an overview of what we would be covering. The students seemed engaged, and I was happy to see their enthusiasm.

Day 4: 06 December 2024

I did not have any official teaching periods today, but I was instructed to engage Class 8B for revision sessions. Since their exams were approaching, I guided them through important topics in Physics and Chemistry, clarifying their doubts and helping them prepare effectively.

Day 5: 09 December 2024

In Class 8A (2nd period), I continued the topic Reflection of Light in Spherical Mirrors, explaining different types of mirrors and their applications. In Class 8C (4th period), I introduced the Chemistry unit Water, discussing its properties and importance. The students asked good questions, which made the class lively.

Day 6: 10 December 2024

With the Christmas exams starting tomorrow, I dedicated today to revising all key topics with the students. I ensured that they had a clear understanding of all concepts and provided tips on how to approach their exam questions efficiently.

Day 7: 11 December 2024

The Christmas examinations began today. My duty was to invigilate the exams, ensuring discipline and a smooth conduct of the examination process. It was my first time handling invigilation, and I observed how students approached their exams.

Day 8: 12 December 2024

On the second day of exams, I was assigned exam duty in the auditorium hall till noon. It was a long session, but I made sure to maintain order and ensure that students followed exam protocols properly.

Day 9: 13 December 2024

This day was declared a holiday for the entire district due to the Pongala festival at Shri Chettikulangara Temple.

Day 10: 16 December 2024

The third day of the Christmas examination. I was free in the forenoon but had exam duty in the afternoon. My responsibility was to distribute the question papers, answer sheets, and ensure a disciplined atmosphere in the exam hall.
