Introduction:

On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi a Sevana Varam Cleaning Program was organised to commemorate the great leader's principles of cleanliness and service to the community. The event was held as part of the National Service Scheme (NSS) initiative at our college. Under the guidance of our teachers, all students were divided into five teams and each team was assigned a specific area to clean.

Objective:

The primary objective of the Sevana Varam Cleaning Program was to instil the values of cleanliness, hygiene and community participation among the students. By conducting this event, we sought to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's vision of leading a clean and healthy life.

Activities:

a) Team Formation:

All participating students were divided into five teams. This approach aimed to foster unity and teamwork among the participants.

b) Area Allocation:

Our teacher allocated specific areas within the vicinity for each team to clean. The areas included the school premises, road sides and school gate. This ensured that a diverse range of areas would benefit from our efforts leaving a positive impact on the community.

c) Cleaning Tools and Materials:

Essential cleaning tools and materials such as spades, brooms, rakes, gloves, etc. Ensuring the availability of these resources was crucial to facilitating an efficient and effective cleaning process.\
